New case-based e-learning courses

A new case-based e-learning course has now launched and is available to those who have ordered the Level 1 Full Package; they may also be ordered individually via the Catalog & Store of the ILAE Academy.

Patient Case: Jason (16 y/o) This course presents a 16-year-old male with diagnosed epilepsy and breakthrough seizures.

Get to know the case author

The patient case modules are developed by a faculty of distinguished authors and ILAE experts. The authors – young epileptologists – have developed the concept, content, and final tests for these cases in an intensive process over several months.

To give you the opportunity to get to know the case authors, we will introduce each when their case is made available.

Hugh Simpson, MD, PhD

Hugh Simpson is a neurologist with an interest in epilepsy, epilepsy surgery, and neuromodulation for epilepsy. He is current an Advanced Clinical Neurology Fellow at Mayo Clinic Rochester, MN, USA, where he is pursuing additional subspecialty training in epilepsy.
