General Congress Promotion
2ND NORTH AMERICAN EPILEPSY CONGRESS (NAEC)
The 2nd North American Epilepsy Congress will take place in an online format, on 5-8 May 2022. The theme of the congress is “Bridging the Epilepsy Treatment Gap in Underserved Areas”, a topic which has never been more vital, and the program is compelling and wide-reaching in addressing distinct aspects of that theme.
The early registration deadline has been extended to 15 April to bring our multi-day educational experiences to more people around the globe! Attend #NAEC2022 from your home or office, and view sessions in your own time. The newly discounted registration fees are now based on both profession and country income level.

NAEC SATELLITE EVENT: 4TH BANFF INTERNATIONAL EPILEPSY SYMPOSIUM
The 4th Banff International Epilepsy Symposium, a satellite event of the 2nd North American Epilepsy Congress, will take place in a virtual format on 6 May 2022.
The symposium will focus on novel approaches to diagnosis, therapies and surgical techniques and highlight issues that impact all patients with epilepsy – SUDEP, seizure detection and novel approaches to antiepileptogenesis and drug therapy.
Minimally invasive surgery has opened entirely new and exciting possibilities for our patients where open surgery is not considered ideal, given the comorbidities and risks. Disconnective surgery is being discussed increasingly as a surgical option, but the indications, mechanisms and outcomes remain less understood. The 4th Banff International Epilepsy Symposium will address these emerging issues by highlighting innovative research into tailored medical and surgical therapy for these complex patient populations.
The 4th Banff International Epilepsy Symposium is organized by The Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary.
If attending the North American Epilepsy Congress (NAEC), registration for the Banff International Epilepsy Symposium is complimentary and the Zoom link will be provided directly by the NAEC. Please register for BIES, but no payment will be required.
