Helen Cross In July 2021, the ILAE communications officer sat down with then outgoing President Samuel Wiebe and President-Elect J. Helen Cross. She was in charge of the ILAE website, of sending all the newsletters and of much of the ILAE social media posting. She worked on the development of the current website and responded to all the requests for posting by commission members, ILAE chapters, congress organizers, and others. Deb knew everything about our website and was always ready to work after hours and during her holidays to make sure important communications were taken care of. During this period, the ILAE website saw a huge increase in size and in visitors, and there was a large increase in the ILAE presence on social media. Deb was a major factor in this development. We want to thank Deb for her dedication to the ILAE and wish her a happy retirement. In memoriam: Warren Blume Warren Blume, M.D., Founder and former Head of the Epilepsy Program at Western University in London, Ontario, Canada, passed away on 13 September 2021. A clear and visionary thinker, as well as a skilled epileptologist and electroencephalographer, Prof. Blume was highly influential in the development of epileptology in Canada and around the world. His death is an extraordinary loss to Western University and to national and international epileptology.
