The 7 edition of the Advanced Epilepsy Course Bridging Basic with Clinical Epileptology is addressed to neuroscientists, neurologists and other experts with a documented background in epilepsy research. The main
objective is to train attendees to improve the critical competence necessary to design an effective research project/activity in the field of epilepsy. The Course offers lectures, interactive seminars, workshops and breakout
sessions; a research project will be developed by student groups on a subject defined and assigned by the Course Directors. The progress of the project will be evaluated daily during group discussions with faculty members. Each research project will be collectively discussed and evaluated during the last day of the Course.

The Course is supported by ILAE, by the Fondazione Istituto Neurologico Carlo Besta and is endorsed by the European Reference Network EpiCARE for Rare and Complex Epilepsies.


Registration fee: 2,900.00 Eur in single room; 2,600.00 Eur in twin-bedded room (VAT and bank expenses included). The registration fee includes:

  • accommodation from July 19 to 31 (12 nights);
  • full board and coffee breaks for the entire duration of the course;
  • access to the course and to the Venice International University facilities;
  • course syllabus.
